Has been very near buying the patent of Drury Lane; Mr. Fletewood has sold his right and title to Mr. Orator Lacy. Plays the part of Scrub [in The beaux stratagem by Farquhar] for the first time that night. Wants him to finish his comedy. Thompson's tragedy [Tancred and Sigismunda?] upon the tapestry story in the 2nd vol. of Gilblas, is ready.
